Reflexology Massage

Reflexology is the study, science and art of applying specific techniques to either the hands or feet. It is believed in reflexology that the organs of your body are reflected onto your hands and feet. When applied, these techniques reduce the effects of stress in corresponding body parts, helping the body to heal itself. Thus through reflexology, pain, illness and dysfunction in any area of the body can be addressed.

Reflexology is really helpful when an area either cannot be reached (ex. Organs) or is too inflamed or painful to touch. For example, if you recently experienced a trauma, and that area is really inflamed and painful, your massage therapist can work the area of the foot corresponding with that area of your body which is in pain and find relief. Another example is that if you have been experiencing digestive problems, your massage therapist can work your digestive system through the feet to provide you relief around those areas in your body.
